What are some of the worst things to do on Social Media and why is it that you should avoid them? Here are some tips to consider:
- Focusing your posts only on your business. Your followers do want to find out about your business – but they are also following you to “steal” wedding ideas and tips. Therefore, you should strike the perfect balance between business-related posts and inspirational posts (ideally, 80% of your posts should be about you, and 20% should be about other wedding ideas).
- Being rude in the comments. Under no circumstances should you reply badly to any of the people who comment on your Social Media profile! Keep your diplomacy skills en guard and be as polite as possible. The last thing you want is to come across as rude, even with people who are not polite to you.
- Being irregular with your posts. If you want to build a solid fan-base, make sure you post regularly on all of the major Social Media networks. This will make brides get used to your posts and it will also push them to come back and check what you’ve been sharing lately.
